Ok, from time to time, i play this game installed on my computer-especially when my mind becomes so bloated with information about management (yeah, i don't really do that shit). anyway, once i am done with the game, i will buy the expansion which at this time is only the "mask of the betrayer." wife tep thinks it is a stupid game. well, technically, you don't really gain any knowledge in it, except that you get to play a character. once i get the expansion, i will finish that and go to the next expansion. i'm sure it will only be 9 bucks by then (it's 16 right now, but the first neverwinter sold expansions to as low as 9.99).

i was really flattered earlier today when somebody told me that i look so much thinner than before. awesome. i will not check my weight at this time though. haha. well see. 4/20! lol not the 4/20 day, but that's the day i'll know if dear wifey will get me a 1TB HDD and a 16GB SDHC. yiha!
anyway, i was thinking of getting a big NAS next year if i ever get businesses with photography. already received indirect flattering comments "let's have ron take photos para tsada," "can you be the photographer for my wedding?" or something like those. well, time to think of a good name. i was thinking of registering a company name (so i can easily make sure about about copyrights, taxes and the fact that i can be sued).
anyway, i finally completed configuring my PC since i got the barebone last january 2007. i bought the barebone on ebay last january and it came with the atx casing, pentium d dual core, motherboard and pc5300 ddr2 ram. i essentially reused my old hard drives that i bought last 2006 so that was okay. i made sure that cooling was sufficient in the desktop (fancy colored fans), and after two months, i found out that i burned my old psu (seriously, i didn't know it was only 160W). so i replaced it with a 630W psu. a month and a half later, my motherboard burned (90 day warranty was already over), upon further inspection, i noticed a crack on the board--possibly due to the stress i was giving it when i installed the thermaltake heatsink/fan. so i bought a replacement motherboard. after two months, i bought an sli card and added that to the machine, enabling me to use two monitors on the computer. (practically the tv being used as a third monitor). later on i added a second sli card and enabled sli on the computer. freaking awesome! last january, for some reason the pc5300 ram was on sale for $40 for 2x2GB! so i bought two modules and added that to the computer. to my dismay, windows vista 32-bit could not support more than 3GB of ram. so i bought a 64-bit windows vista ultimate and my rig is now running with 6gb of ram. at this time, i also checked for dear wifey's computer's memory, but because her computer uses the legacy ram (i hate that!!!), it was more expensive (and slower) than the one i bought. i had to do something about the heat though, so last month, after spending $16 on a fan and a tube, i made a fan vent from the desktop to the window--helping my desktop cool by as much as 20F (it was going 100-110F now its down 80-90F when the fan is on).
two or three years from now, i am going to build my ultimate computer (depending on situation though and if the photography thing works out. haha). i will do that as a gift to myself for finishing the school stuff i planned on.
anyway, the internet went down last tuesday and was not fixed until late yesterday. i called up technical support and it was somebody i could not understand (hey, i have an accent, but shit, work on yours man!). i was really fuming at the guy because after asking him about what the verizon dns numbers were, he told me that "if you are going to change your dns setting, it will ruin your computer." i was mad! how can he say something like that wherein i practically based it on my experience of messing around the dns settings for 8 years and not one of those computers got messed up by that (well, half of them had other issues, but that's beside the point). in any case, he was not able to help. i went home fuming. after dinner, i decided to call again since i could not even do school stuff without the internet. i was on hold for thirty minutes before somebody picked up (at least it was not like dell, wherein i was on hold and transferred for two hours). this guy sounded american and he was really helpful, i asked him about the dns too and he told me, "i will give that to you sir, but can we try something on your modem?" so we went through the whole s.o.p. and the internet was fixed, i didn't bother with the dns since i am now able to get it on my own. why am i fixated on dns? because of the internal network configuration i needed to do to make the file server work (it's not required, but oh well).

What is Love?
by ron angelicfall, 8/11/00
Who says finding love is hard?
Finding is easy, but forgetting is difficult.
Who says love goes your way?
You have to find it, and you’ll have a result.
Lovers come
Lovers go
Lovers fight
Lovers make up
Lovers go crazy
Lovers go sober
When a couple is about to break up
If they’re in love they try to make up
When everybody asks what’s up
You’ll always deny all allegations up
Denial is a protection from the real light
Denying something sometimes can make a right
It can also ‘cause a lot of fright
Sometimes it can send the partner in flight
What is the true meaning of Love?
It is a gift from heaven above
It’s like a freely flying white dove
It’s free, It’s for everyone, and it’s for all that have a heart.
Somebody can kill you even though you’re still living
Fall in love, and a thorn in your heart remains and still hurting
Don’t fall in love, you are amongst the dead, a zombie walking
Fall in love carelessly, your heart will be broken
Fall in love carefully, you’re going to be insane

i got a laptop awhile ago, around early 2006. the battery was decent, i was getting an hour while playing a very demanding game known as neverwinter nights. now i am pissed! I am not playing neverwinter nights on my laptop anymore, but yet i am only getting 30 mins for the battery and i am only using the laptop for typing school paper. argghh. i need a new battery. fuckkkkkkkkkk. well, i supposed it is because the laptop is almost 2 years old?

i saw my life flashed me by yesterday. gross as it may sound, i had blood on my stool. at first i didn't think of it as a big deal, but when i told folks at work (of course my friends, i won't tell anybody else that i have blood on my shit), they started telling me about people who did not think any of it. one even told me that "blood in your ass is not something you fuck with." so i decided to make an appointment with the doctor.
i spoke to the doctor, and he advised me to go to the emergency room because of fear that it might be colitis. he advised me that if i go to his office, it would take awhile for him to have results and it would be okay if there is nothing wrong with me, but that would not be good if i have colitis.
so, i told my supervisor of the same thing, but i told her that i was not that worried (even though i really was), so i'll finish my shift before heading to the emergency room. while working and waiting, i was thinking of the last time i had a major stomach issue. back in second grade, i was confined in a hospital for two weeks, i cannot remember what i had at that time, but i did find out that i was alergic to buscopan (Butylscopolamine). i remember clearly my allergic reaction - i could have died at that time, but hey, i am alive today right?
i went home at around 6:30PM (as usual) and skipped some things i needed to do (deposit at bank, buy lottery, pass by fry's to get some cooling, etc etc). we ate dinner, and headed to the emergency room. in the next 4 hours, tep and i was in a grueling waiting game. when i finally saw the resident doc, he interviewed me, asked me what my sexual preference was (haha), and what was happening. then he pushed something up my ass (that was NOT nice), then he told me that a nurse will take my blood and will have my xray done. while waiting for that, i remembered when i had a medical checkup a couple of years ago wherein the doctor was checking my balls for if i have abnormalities (i felt fondled actually, haha). i just had to look away when the nurse took blood (i have fear of needles) and it hurts really bad (my mind telling me so). then xray was taken at another room. i overheard them that the only weird thing they saw in my xray was a bag of chips (which was a relief), then made fun of the other tech guy for forgetting a marker (really don't know what that is, but it did not appear to be a big deal, so i did not care). i told the tech guy that i wanted to tell my wife to just go home and pick me up later. he told me that she could just come with me to the room.
so we went to the room and joked about different things. we eventually fell asleep waiting for the doctor. when the doctor came in, i was dazed and confused (ha!) for a few seconds before i realized that he was there for the results. at this time it was already 2am. so he told me the bad news first (a good thing!), that i did had some problems in my liver and that i am a bit constipated. the good news was that there is nothing wrong with me (hurrah!). BUT, i needed to be observed by my doctor.
tep and i went home feeling happy.
i feel better now though. =)
