I was so angry today.

I was called on for a conference call at ten, and what happened was that, I made a fool of myself. The account manager sent me a discrepancy report on the last minute, and when I reviewed them I told myself, “Oh my God.” Somebody did not do his/her job for this report. The company we were on a conference call with is asking me questions that I have no idea they were going to throw—simply because I did not know about the report in the first place. No matter how quick I can bring up various spreadsheets and applications, it was too slow to answer their inquiries—I cannot even buy time by talking about gibberish such as the freakin weather. The call ended because they think that my company is stupid. Yes, that is definitely right, I was stupid enough to go through the call, co-workers were stupid enough not to discuss this issue with me prior to the call.

That led to an impromptu meeting with me, the account manager, my supervisor and another EDI techie. Although I cannot divulge more information because of HIPAA regulations, it came to this, I ended up taking ownership of the company’s data, my teammate took over retraining of the said person.

Gosh. I’m pissed.

In another light, my weekend was really boring—I get to spend it with an ample amount of text I needed to read through. Today, I get to read 4 chapters compared to last week’s 12. In any case, I am so excited for tomorrow, not only because of Dancing with the stars, but with the fact that I won’t be going to work. Yeah, that will be awesome.

long weekend.

i started my weekend hitting the books... well online books/articles anyway. friday night, i started workign on my paper, but took a quick break and joined the rockers. we stayed out until close to midnight--i was too drunk to even go back to my paper.

i woke up the next morning with a freaking hang over--couldn't start on my paper until late afternoon when i was mostly hydrated. i continued on for my paper throughout the night and turned it in close to 1PM.

i started packign up my clothes--stephanie already packed hers. took a shower and we both left for Trina's birthday party. at around 5pm, we headed off to palm desert/indian wells.

at around 7pm, we checked in the hotel and left for coachella at around 8. at around 8:30, we were able to find the furthest parking (it's the smart thing to do if you want to get out of the parking easily). we walked towards the venue for like a mile, and just walked around the area. we saw this flaming thing (stephanie has all the videos and photos--i was too lazy to take one) as well as a real steam-engined train. i was able to take a photo of this girl who doesn't seem to care that she's wearing a skirt? yeah, got an upskirt photo of her while she was on a swing.

at around 10, we settled in and waited for Rage Against the Machines, while Manu Chau was playing. the band practically is anti-war, but oh well, all the politics in the world man.

as we were sitting down, i lied down and actually missed a woman passing by my head who was wearing a white skirt--i found out about it because stephanie elbowed me, and when i noticed, the woman was already several feet away. haha. good times!

at 1040, we started moving again and slowly move closer to the stage. 1050, rage started shredding the crowds and we got a kick of banging our heads against the air. while songs that i was not really fond of, i looked around and this girl was asking for "it." moving around crazy and dancing, eventually, somebody groped her and another person pulled the strings of her bikini.

here's a few songs i recognized and loved:
people of the sun,
bulls on parade,
testify,
calm like a bomb,
voice of the voiceless,
bombtrack,
know your enemy... and others i can't remember.

at around 11:25, we started moving back out. on an occassion, this girl was banging her head against the air--while her top was slowly going down--looks like she was not wearing a bra.

when "year of the boomerang played," we started backing further, and by 11:35 we were already on our way to the car. good times!

we were back in the hotel by midnight and slept through until morning--our necks practically sore from all the head banging.

we forced ourselves out of bed just so we can eat breakfast. after checking out, we proceeded and went to the thrift stores in palm desert/indian wells.

my god, we found sooo much treasures there--specifically old books. these books are three-four times older than me or stephanie. we bought about a dozen of those.

last tuesday, john left for the philippines, i can tell he's really excited. i can't wait for me and stephanie to go home though.

last night was a chilly night, but i basically woke up at around 5 (thanks to stephanie), and got to work at 6AM... i worked as usual and left at noon to pick up stephanie... (see my post in the wedding blog).
