I was so damn scared due to the $1 pending charges on my credit card. I mean, I am not worried about the charge itself, but I was worried because I didn't recognize the amount. For example, I received a charge from PAYPAL for a $1. I didn't recognized it since I always see a charge with PAYPAL **EMAIL address** complete with asterisks.
What scared me was that, it looked to me like any charges I made to the card, a $1 other charge was done... i came with the conspiracy theory that some guy working for a specific company uses multiple credit cards to get money (since a lot of people doesn't really give a damn about a $1 charge).
I reported this to my credit card company after I asked paypal if there were such $1 charges done from them (they replied that their company charges for $1.99 for premium services--which i do not have--otherwise it might be fraudulent).
Here's the exact words from the email I received from the issuing company (except for some info, such as my name):
Dear Angelicfall,
We understand your concern regarding the charge in the amount of $1.00.
Different types of merchants, such as gas stations and online merchants, may process an authorization fot a $1.00 to verify that your credit card is valid. Actual charges will post based on the sales draft submitted by the merchant and may not post for up to 10 days. If we do not receive the sales draft, the charge may not post to your account. If you have further questions, we suggest that you contact the merchant.
If you do not recognize the charge after it has posted to your account, you can dispute the charge....

from this email, I was able to connect the dots. I did have a PayPal charge for certain amount of money... but paypal might have charged that $1 for credit card inquiry. I saw the same for the charges i made for cingular.
me and my too cautious mind.

that was nice of the seller to have that offered. you can just send her (i have the assumption that the seller was a girl because of her description) a message, telling her not to leave a feedback yet, until you give the item to the significant other. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
oh, i'm talking about ebay. lol.
