boring... 1/29/05 13:33 |

man, i'm so bored today. i still need to go to a lot of places, but i felt that i just can't move. probably from the still swollen neck and all that. yeah, yeah, yeah i know, i have to see a doctor.

didn't do much since i got home this morning, i downloaded three indie films that are illegal. they are illegal because they copied parts from movies that they never even asked permission from the original copyright holder of those films. i like the third one, it was about three different walt disney movies with a different audio. it showed a completely different take on the movies. cinderella walked away from the prince because the prince did not broke up with a previous lover. another walt disney thing included in the film was about how a completely obnoxious guy can befall a girl. (he was selling drugs, pharmaceutical). I can't remember the original title of it, but oh well.

the other indie film, gimme the mermaid, was also made without permission from walt disney. i just find the video hysterical, it talks of copyright infringement and being sued. ah the irony.

my fucked up day... 1/26/05 21:33 |

nothing new until 6.26pm today...

i was driving home from work, and as usual there was the rush hour traffic. i was stopped along the on-ramp to 605 coming from the 405.

*crash*

crack, my neck went. i just had a bad whiplash as my car careened forward a couple of feet. i simply said in the headset "kapa ngyawa! fuck! gibangga ko!" (fucking shit! somebody just crashed to me!).

i hanged up telling joanna that i'll call her back.

the other person signalled me to go to the side, so we went.

i took all his information, and was still fucking shaking when we decided to leave the scene.

i got home and spent some time calling my insurance agent. i told them the entire story. i gave them all the information about the other vehicle involved...

crappy fucking day!

at least teptep came to my house today for joey's birthday. =) i was able to make lambing even though my neck was shit sore.

haaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy ginoo...

my usual day... 1/25/05 22:34 |

today is probably one of my busiest... yet.

i started my day by comparing membership from a client to membership of ours. it's pretty much a tedious job, but hey, somebody has to do it. 101K membership from each were compared in a span of two and a half hours. i ended up with 4,000 discrepancy. much clean up needs to be done for the group (currently, we have a pace of 500 processes daily, and most of the time, it's poured on other projects).

after working on the client to system membership comparison, the entire team got called into a meeting that ended close to lunch time. the meeting agenda was in regards to the other big groups that we need to clean up. we have set up tracking on the membership count for each group (between 40,000-80,000 members). during the meeting, i got so confused with one aspect of it that i ended up giving the most stupidest look on my face that i have never done in such a long time. we went on with the pend list, and the entire team is set at 01/18/2005 pending items.

circumstances, like the projects prevented us from moving in our usual time, pushing the normal process slower. at least we got help from the 7 temps left (from the original 11 last christmas).

i talk to the project manager, and i gave him a brief status on several projects he assigned to me.

i went to lunch at around 12:45pm, ate and smoked a stick before going back to work.

at around 1:15pm, i started working on separating and parsing manually a very huge client file (at close to 200,000). unfortunately, i can't do this in a single program, like excel, to accomplish such task. i ended up using msaccess to handle the raw data (just imagine, it's a text file with a size of 83mb), and using excel to save each of the 200 groups in the file.

i completed the parsing and at around 3 pm, the team headed off to break time. i was the break time topic. arnetta, one of my team mates laughed so hard when she talked about the first time she saw me in the most confused face i would ever have. carlos, the new guy, also laughed at that, especially that they were not used to seeing me in that face.

when i came back, i started my normal daily process--making reports for the team. this process however should have started at 8 in the morning.

my supervisor gave me a rush job (without it. the new case guys will have a problem without the members not being loaded.

at around 4.30pm. i contacted one of the a.m.'s to check if she would be attending the meeting that i have set up for the time. i never got a reply so my direct supervisor dismissed it, and asked me to reschedule it at another time. i continued my process, but around 4.45pm, i got an email from the a.m. telling me that she would come up in a few minutes.

i hurriedly grabbed my notepad, ran some reports and headed off to the place where we were suppose to meet... without the supervisor. for more than half an hour, i tried explaining to her all that i can in regards to the group under her, telling her that the group is having problems with sending their payments on time.

i took two 500mg tylenols... i was starting to have a huge headache.

at around 4.45pm, i hurriedly attempted to complete the reports before the other supervisor leave to go home.

i was done by 5.40... but i still need to do one more thing, the special project from my supervisor.

i hurriedl

nothing much 01:00 |

well, not exactly not fucking much. i have a lot of things to say...

the company christmas party was pretty awesome, held december 2004. we were asked to leave work and go to the dressed up party. i thought it would be a lame party, since i'm not particularly close to the people at work.

upon arriving at the site, i parked my car and headed off to the third floor of the santa ana performing arts. since the party hasn't started, i left the building to get my self a cigarette. i asked around about where liquor stores where at.

i walked a freakin' four blocks just to get me a cigarette. on the way back, the marvelous structures of old town santa ana (it looked like old town, since historical buildings were kept intact). the train station was pretty huge.

when i got there, lunch was already served. i started eating and mingled with the rest of the department. after eating, the lights were slowly dimmed... then it went completely dark.

four pairs went to the stage and started talking. i can't remember what he said, but they started singing christmas medleys while dancing in different attires. my favorite is santa baby. lol. one heck of a sight! she was acting flirty in front of everyone while singing the song... pinching men's noses and such. at around three, i have to go to the parking lot, since i have to take my anti-biotics for my then infamous sinusitis and infected ears. i went back hurriedly to the room, and asked everyone what was happening.

it was a raffle.

number 372! i fumbled on my pocket and found out that IT WAS freakin meeee!!! the new president gave me a $100 gift card for nordstrom!

i went home feeling all good and that.

our christmas party at home was fun too! hell, it was the best christmas i've ever had since getting here last 1999. kuya joey acted like the santa clause, and asked everyone to sit on his lap when we receive the gifts. abner and sharon, sheila's bro in law and sister, also joined our party. my swit did too! ahahah all with photos. when kuya joey picked up the heavy gift teptep gave for our family, he asked her to carry it to my mom and dad. she asked me to bring it for her while she walk towards my parents.

everyone started humming "here comes the bride," fuckkkkkkkk!!!!!! i looked at swit swit, and she was beet red.

last new year, i was invited to join teptep's family in moronggo casino. we went there around 7 pm and started to eat buffet. oh my lord, i must've ate twenty freakin gross pounds of crabs! whoa!

we played the casino, and i ended up winning a net of $250!! (i started with $60). what a trip!

after new year, last january 2, we left for colorado.

at around... to be continued...
